I am a career chef as well as a chef at home and I bought these for home use they arrived in the mail very fast. a a far as the quality i am very impressed for the price. the blades them selves are of very high quality, the handels i got are a nice green and white mixed epoxy that could use a little more finish work not much but I feel the quality of the knife deserves a nicely finished handle it is full tang and has a top and bottom stainless rivets and one center brass decorative rivet on each knife. I can tell that these knives were not mass produced they may not be individually hand hammered forged but they are hand finished.my favorite aspect of this set is that these knives are weighted very nicely they are quite light but not too light there is some good weight to each one that makes them feel comfortable in the hand.I do with there was more width on the 8 inch chefs knife especially at the hanle to give more finger clearance when chopping.all in all I am very happy with this product and I plan on doing the finishing touches myself and might even fit my own handles on each one and give them a little of my own uniqueness to them.ps. I recommend getting a decent sharpening jig with at least 4 quality stones. the knifes were not incredibly sharp but with the right tools and the proper techniques these blades take and hold and incredible edge. Oh yeah another big plus with this set is the real leather case custom made for this set is far better that I expected it to be not supper high quality but the pictures don't do it justice i really like that this leather case is already included for the price of this set very happy and I hope to see some new products come out soon like a more practical chefs knife
