I currently own a 5 piece chef knife set by Paudin. The quality of the chef knives impressed me so much that when I came across these Paudin steak knives I had to check them out.The construction of these knives is fantastic. The blades are advertised as being made from High Carbon Stainless Steel which is highly durable so they should hold up quite a while without rusting and etc.As far as steak knives go these are also well balanced overall. The pakka wood handles help with this. The wood is very ergonomic and has a smooth beautiful woodgrain finish. The handle ends are beautifully finished with stainless steel end caps with professional signature logos. Additionally the blades of these knives are fairly long at 5.25 inches this along with the blades being very wide in height helps this knife to be a wonderful choice for cutting through meats of varying thickness.I think that most people don't think of steak knives as being extremely sharp since they usually have a serrated edge for cutting. Although these knives also have a serrated cutting edge at the front end of the knife the middle to rear of the knife where it is not serrated the knife is still very sharp even though it doesn't need to be which is impressive.One of the best things about these knives is the lifetime warranty so if anything does ever go wrong getting a replacement should not be a big deal.The only thing that is disappointing about this knife set is that it doesn't come together with the chef knives and a fancy modern knife block! Well maybe I am just being a little greedy. In all seriousness though I am very impressed with this knife set. Not only is it superbly crafted and eye-catching but it is a knife set that would be an excellent addition to any kitchen.Very nice steak knives. They are large like the ones they use at Steak Houses. They are sharp and cut smoothly. The finish is smooth on each of the knives, and they are well crafted. They cut cleanly and effortlessly. We both like that the knives fit both of our hands comfortably and don’t feel awkward even though they are large size. These are a wonderful upgrade from our old steak knives. Very happy. They do need to be handwashed because of the wood handles. We always handwash knives so it is not a problem. The knives come in a sturdy padded box for storage. They would make a nice gift.I just got a set of beautiful Paudin' knife set of 5, this steak knife set makes a great addition to the main set and collection of the same Damascus steel pattern on the blades and shared the same pakka wood handles, a perfect match and eye catching.Not only that these knives share the same beauty and quality, the weight of the knife is ideal, the serrated blade makes it so easy to cut through meat, perfect for steak dinner, turkey, ham, any kind of roast, etc.Steakhouse quality knives. Handles are beautiful. Blades are sharp with edge and serrated sections for versatility. I don't believe these are full tang construction, which I think is a hallmark of all good knifemaking, but for this application I don't expect that to be an issue. Classy look and feel, your guests will notice and appreciate.I got these to match my paudin chef's knife set, but they don't fit in my knife block. They are very beautiful, lightweight and sharp, work very well.
